Usability Problem Heuristic(s) Violated Severity Level

The term “gigs” is used for temporary jobs. Some people know what gigs are, but most commonly people know the word temporary. Temp or temp jobs. Might look for under “jobs” instead of “gigs”

#2: Match between system and the real world, #4: Consistency and Standards 3

When trying to go back to the previous page, there is no button or arrow to do so. There is an arrow, but it is to hide the contents panel, not to go back. It’s confusing.

#3: User control and freedom 3

When trying to create a post, there is no cancel button or emergency exit. Instead I have to go back via the web browser’s back button.

#3: User control and freedom 3

The design is basic, TOO basic. Without more customizations, words are grouped together and hard to tell apart from other words.

#8: Aesthetic and minimalist design 1

The bright blue font (and some very small font) are making it difficult to read. Black would have been a better color to easily read.

#8: Aesthetic and minimalist design 3

Green and red are both used when creating a post. (red is error, but green stays). This isn’t accessible for someone with a red/green color blindness disability.

#5: Error prevention 4

I believe the small green line indicates required information when creating a post. A clear direction and symbol would be better.

#5: Error prevention 2

All headings look the same. All categories/sections look the same. This makes it difficult to navigate. It feels cluttered and unorganized. Each category could look different from others to easily distinguish. Example: Make “jobs” orange and “housing” blue. Instead, some might have to just recall where the housing section is from the jobs

#8: Aesthetic and minimalist design, #6: Recognition rather than recall 3

Uses LOTS of abbreviations. OBO (or best offer), hlth instead of health, 1 br instead of 1 bedroom, clothes and acc instead of clothes and accessories

#2: Match between system and the real world, #4: Consistency and Standards 3

No shortcuts for experienced users. For example, if I post frequently under jobs. I will probably have to recall where it is from memory because there is no visual difference in appearance from jobs to other categories.

#6: Recognition rather than recall, #7: Flexibility and efficiency of use 1
